Goals in each half from Phil Ruggles and substitute Sam Rents gave Worthing their first win in four starts with a 2-1 victory at Dover.
Ruggles got the faintest of touches following a long range free kick by Ian Payne.
Midfielder Rents struck 13 minutes after coming on to double the lead with a left foot drive from 25 yards.
Rogers gave Dover hope with a deflected free kick on 72 minutes but Worthing held on with the hosts having Tom Hickman sent off in stoppage time for two bookable offences.
