Lewes manager Steven King ripped into his players following a disappointing 1-1 draw against Carshalton at the Dripping Pan.
The Rooks controlled the first half and took the lead through Marc Whiteman on 32 minutes.
But they paid the price for poor defending as Carshalton, without a win this season, snatched a point on 61 minutes thanks to a Danny Carroll header.
The result came four days after Lewes were beaten 4-0 at Grays and left King fuming.
He said: "We were very poor. Apart from the two wide players, Kirk Watts and Dwain Clarke, no one came out of the game with any credit.
"It should have been a home banker for us because Carshalton are not a good side. We gave away a cheap goal, leaving the guy unmarked at a corner even though we had talked about that at half time.
"Carshalton had obviously come to defend and kill the game. That's exactly what they did and we should have been good enough to stop them."
