Eastbourne Borough will go into Saturday's game at Margate with renewed confidence after finally opening their account at Sutton on Tuesday.
The goalless draw was not enough to lift Borough off the bottom of the table after defeat in their opening three games but boss Garry Wilson believes it has given the players a massive psychological boost.
Wilson said: "We really needed that performance after the start we have had. It was important to get a point on the board as it gives us something to build on.
"I asked the players to dig in on Tuesday and try not to lose the game and they responded with a totally committed performance. That shows the spirit at the club and with a bit more luck the first win will come."
Stuart Tuck and Stuart Playford both played despite carrying slight hamstring strains on Tuesday night and are expected to continue at Margate but Danny Chapman is doubtful with a similar problem.
Meanwhile, Striker Barrington Belgrave returns for Lewes at home to Maidenhead .
The former Southend striker, who was prolific in pre-season, has missed the last three games with a dead leg.
Jay Lovett returns from injury for Monday's trip to St Albans when Peter Adeniyi will also be back after work commitments.
Manager Steven King intends to sign a player on loan from a professional club to cover for goalkeeper Ade Bankole, who begins a three-week suspension next Saturday.
