Lewes recorded their third win of the season with a pulsating 3-2 victory at St Albans.
The Rooks went in front after five minutes when Warren Haughton converted a Kirk Watts cross but were pegged back by the hosts when Lee Clarke scored the first of his two goals.
Clarke struck again just after the interval but moments later Max Hustwick glanced home a Junior Kadi free-kick to level.
Saints midfielder Darren Sarll was sent off for hauling back Watts as he closed on goal and, with 20 minutes remaining, Barrington Belgrave broke free of two defenders before beating home keeper Mel Capleton.
Saints' Richard Thomas hit the bar in the final minutes with a cross-shot as Rooks ended their run of three winless games.
