Vandals recently damaged the granite coping of the promenade wall on Hove seafront.
I left a written report with David Wheeler at the seafront office. Barely 24 hours later, he took the trouble to phone me to say he had inspected the damage, retrieved the displaced masonry and had called a builder there to inspect the damage and estimate the repair, which was expected to be carried out in the next day or so.
To say I was impressed is an understatement. I have had several bad experiences with Brighton and Hove City Council, ranging from lazy staff to downright incompetence, so my hopes weren't too high. David is a shining example. Thank you from all the users of Hove prom.
