Having accused me of "betraying a tendency towards selective xenophobia" (Letters, August 26), FG Robinson might be amused to learn that I am a fluent German speaker, have lived and worked in Germany for several years and am in the 44th year of marriage to my German wife, Inge.
Tomorrow, we leave for vacation in, yes, Germany.
