An internet cafe has been voted the best in the UK by cyber-surfers.
The Curve Bar in North Laine, Brighton, won the Yahoo! Mail's top title after beating more than 200 nominations.
It has won the award for best UK internet cafe, announced today to coincide with the tenth anniversary of the opening of Cafe Cyberia, the world's first cyber cafe, in London.
The Curve, which opened four years ago, was the first internet cafe to use an ADSL service.
Garett Robson runs the computer side of the cafe, which offers scanning, faxing and printing services and a fully licensed bar and restaurant downstairs.
Judge Eva Pascoe, founder of Cafe Cyberia, said: "The Curve Bar manages to be technically advanced, inspirational and has a great culinary and cultural fit with its location. The layout is perfect for the space."
Jonathan Speirs, operations manager at The Curve, said: "We are somewhat surprised and, of course, delighted.
"Brighton is a very transient place so we are lucky we have so many people who need to use an internet cafe.
"We may be less slick than other places but I hope we are always friendly and helpful."
