What dismal news. A live band has been banned when certain shops in Brighton (one of them in the East Street vicinity) are free to blast us with piped pulp-pop at a volume that makes your ears bleed.
Who has complained about Roy Gee's band? And are there more of them than the hordes of diners and passers-by I've watched being entertained by these excellent musicians?
We moved to Brighton because there wasn't a killjoy on every corner but there are obviously some lurking.
That they've been allowed to win this one will leave East Street and those of us who enjoyed the colourful, foot-tapping atmosphere all the poorer.
