Further to your report on the coastal bus lane (The Argus, August 25), why should people lose their gardens for a bus to save four minutes?
Why not let all the traffic move freely both ways through Rottingdean?
I am not a town planner but I could solve this problem without interfering with the roads either side of Rottingdean.
I would do away with the traffic lights, allowing the traffic to move freely through the village.
It seems a lot of unnecessary work is going into quite a simple problem.
Happy residents keeping their gardens, happy motorists not having to stop, happy bus company.
But, as we all know, the main objective is to make us leave our cars at home and travel on the very expensive public transport.
Good luck to all the people opposing this stupid scheme.
