A day of tennis for single men and women sounds like the perfect setting for a romantic match.
But a one-day tournament in Brighton is threatening to be as big a washout as this year's Wimbledon because only two women have signed up.
Organisers, inspired by upcoming film Wimbledon starring Kirsten Dunst, have put up posters all over the city, inviting singletons to come and play.
However, less than a week before the event, Nick Williams, head tennis coach at Withdean Sports Complex in Brighton, admitted: "We've only received two entries - both from women.
"It's our first dating event and it looks like it may be our last."
Organisers were hoping tennis fans would be clamouring to pick up their rackets in the run up to romantic comedy flick Wimbledon.
The film stars Paul Bettany as Peter Colt, a failing player who falls for US tennis star Lizzie, played by Dunst.
Partly filmed in Brighton, it follows Colt as his new-found love catapults him towards his dream of winning Wimbledon.
But the organisers of Sunday's event are still hoping to inspire a similar love match at the slightly less glamorous Withdean Indoor Tennis Centre.
With six courts, the event can cater for up to 40 contenders. What they need now is some more people to take part.
They are encouraging players to enter as singles and take part in a game of mixed doubles.
The event is part of a nationwide tour of tennis dating tournaments visiting 30 tennis clubs in the UK.
It is being run by film makers Universal/Working Title, the Lawn Tennis Association and online dating agency Match.com.
Entry is free and all participants will receive a 14-day trial with Match.com.
The top players will get the chance to win tickets to the UK premiere of Wimbledon on September 20, as well as a pair of signed trainers from John McEnroe.
Sam Bedford, of Match.com, said: "Singles who play in the tournament have two chances for romance - the first on court and the other online - so they'll have a good chance of meeting other singles with similar interests."
