Identical twins Sam and Charlie Roe left the opposition seeing double at the Sussex Under-13 League final.
The 12-year-old brothers were the stars of the show as Chichester Runners pulled off a shock victory at Crawley to claim their third successive title.
Together they claimed 39 points out of a possible 40 in the two events they competed in as Chichester saw off the challenge of favourites Eastbourne Rovers.
Chichester team manager Phil Baker said: "They were absolutely brilliant. I think the fact they are twins inspires them to better the other's performances."
Their mum Sue added: "They motivate each other, get on well, love their sport and are delighted they've helped Chichester win the title."
Charlie won the long jump with a leap of 4.78m and Sam was second in the B string (4.51m).
The roles were reversed in the high jump with Sam clearing a personal best 1.52m to take victory. Charlie won the B string (1.45m).
Sam even had an attempt at beating the League record but narrowly failed at 1.57m.
The performances of the Roe twins was enough to give Chichester a surprise victory by just 17 points from Eastbourne.
Chichester had struggled in three West Sussex League matches before the final and finished second from bottom of the table while Eastbourne ran away with the East Sussex title, form which put them in pole postion at Crawley.
However, with Jane Summerfield and Olivia Morey dominating in the shot putt and discus and more than a dozen personal bests being recorded - including Kayleigh Cronk clearing 1.40m in the high jump - they narrowly held on to their crown for the third successive year.
Baker said: "We did not expect to win because it was a completely new team and they had not done all that well earlier in the season.
"It was a nice surprise and shows how much the team has improved this season. We had been encouraged by their performances in the recent Young Athletes League match but still thought we would come third at best."
Eastbourne were left to rue the fact they were missing four of their East Sussex League-winning team.
Becky Imich did a sprint double, winning the 150m in a season's best 20.4sec and the 75m in 10.4sec, for them.
Katy Matthews won the shot with a season's best throw of 8.43m while Abbey Melliush showed her potential by storming through the field to finish second in her first 600m race in 1.57min.
Manager Christine Dolan said: "We were disappointed not to win from always being last we have gone from third last year to second this year. Next year Chichester need to watch out because we will be after them."
Horsham were helped to third place by George O'Shea who won the 75m in 9.8sec, a tenth-of-a-second outside the record.
Tom Westlake took the javelin (32.91sec) and Darren James claimed the discus (24.60m).
Worthing were sixth despite setting two records.
Jessica Challen won the under-13s javelin (36.83m) to smash the eight-year-old Sussex record held by former English Schools' champion Samantha Redd (Brighton and Hove). Redd's distance stood at 36.06m.
But she has a few Redd records to beat as the former Oakmeeds (Burgess Hill) schoolgirl still retains county bests at under-15s, under-17s and under-20s.
Tom Marsden clocked a league best time to win the 1,000m (3min.00.5sec). It beat the previous best by one second.
Tayo Maccanna (Crawley) won the 70m hurdles in an impressive 12.2m.
Keith May, league founder and organiser, said: "The league has been running for 12 years and been a stepping stone. Samantha, Claire Smithson and Carley Wenham have gone on to national and international success."
Team positions: 1 Chichester 341, 2 Eastbourne 324, 3 Horsham 289, 4 Lewes 230, 5 Brighton and Hove 228.5, 6 Worthing 215, 7 Crawley 188.5, 8 Phoenix 181.5, 9 Hastings 177.5, 10 East Grinstead 147.
