Entertainment group Chorion has confirmed that more than 40 companies are interested in making a new Mr Men television series.
The group bought the Mr Men and Little Miss brands for £28 million earlier this year from author Adam Hargreaves, who lives at Cross-In-Hand, near Heathfield.
Mr Hargreaves, son of Mr Men creator Roger, had run the Hargreaves Organisation with sister Amelia since their father died in 1998. He is now a creative consultant for London-based Chorion.
Chorion's pre-tax profits doubled to £1.1 million for the first half of the year.
