Our wonderful local council is at it again.

One Tuesday recently, a street cleaner came along and tidied up the road.

I found this pleasing except for the fact that our high speed dustmen collect the refuse on Wednesday. At least the road was clean for 24 hours.

I did ask Cityclean whether it would be better to clean the road on a Thursday but their reply was "our resources do not allow for an entire refuse round to be swept in one day."

The mind boggles...
