Worthing's indifferent start to the season continued with a 3-0 defeat at Eastleigh.
Phil Ruggles headed against the bar for Rebels early on before Andy Forbes set up Danny Smith to drill Eastleigh ahead on 17 minutes.
Forbes headed inches over just after the break and Worthing's Shaun Grice was similarly off target following a move involving Mark Pullan.
Rebels found Forbes a constant threat and he doubled the lead on 71 minutes by firing past keeper Mark Ormerod following a strong run down the right.
Eastleigh had assistant manager David Hughes sent off a minute later for a second bookable offence. Former Southampton player Hughes, booked earlier for dissent, was red-carded following a challenge with Stuart Holmes.
Worthing's disappointment was compounded in the last minute when substitute Tyrone Bowers pounced to score a soft third goal after a mix-up involving Andy Lutwyche and keeper Ormerod.
