Reach for your sun glasses. Brighton and Hove City Council has circulated leaflets to assist residents completing voting registration forms.
This document, with bits printed in blue, brown, white, orange, yellow and green, reminds me of that lovely old Judy Garland number, Somewhere Over The Rainbow.
Wouldn't a less colourful leaflet have been easier on the eye and cheaper to produce? Maybe. Or, perhaps, I'm just old-fashioned about finding it more convenient to read material in simple back-and-white.
Still, it can't be said that we residents aren't hugely appreciated for the leaflet states, in part, that the city council "values all people living and working in Brighton and Hove, woman or man, black or white, lesbian, gay, heterosexual, with an impairment or not, irrespective of age, income, health, belief or ethnic origin." That more or less covers the field, I suppose.
In case any further assistance is required, the leaflet contains a contact phone number - printed no less than eight times.
