Worthing manager Alan Pook is fighting the flab at Woodside Road as he bids to get his side in trim for a surge up the table.
Pook believes overweight players at semi-professional level is not acceptable and has vowed to fine anyone he believes is carrying excess pounds.
Pook, whose diet of success included taking the Rebels into the premier this season, said: "At semi-pro level, commitment is not just about the work you put in on a Tuesday and Saturday.
"You have to look after yourself seven days a week.
"We weighed everyone last Saturday and everyone will be weighed again tomorrow.
"If any players have put on weight, they will be fined. Also, if any players are injured and come back overweight, they will be fined."
He added: "I left out seven players last week who I considered to be overweight.
"However, I won't name names as I consider it a collective squad matter.
"There is no hiding place. You cannot give your best if you're not in a fit condition."
Despite a difficult start hampered by injuries and availability, Pook now believes he is finally getting his strongest side together with Clay Lamont, Nko Ekoku, Shaun Grice and Owen Hill all available for tomorrow's trip to Northwood.
Pook said: "It is the first time this season I am going into a game knowing what I am going to get from my players.
"I have given us a target of six points from our next two games starting at Northwood and I am really looking forward to tomorrow's game."
