Haywards Heath had lock Rick Ure sent-off for two yellow card offences as they lost 32-6 at home to powerful Barking in National Three South.
Heath played some decent stuff in the first half but conceded two tries after errors and were always chasing the game after that.
They were down to 13 men at one stage after a yellow card for prop Sam Hutton. Owen Ashton kicked two penalties.
Injury-hit Lewes are off to a flying start in London Two South but only after surviving a late scare.
Lewes were standing behind their own posts facing possible defeat after seeing a 20-0 half-time lead slip away at home to Old Mid-whitgiftians on Saturday.
The visitors clawed back to 20-19 and had a conversion to go in front with a minute to go. Their kick was off target, though, and a back row move saw Duncan Barton sent Ben Sole away for a fabulous clinching try.
Neil Rumble converted to complete a 27-19 win, Lewes's second success in as many games after going up in a play-off last season.
Skipper Dave Hemsley said: "We couldn't have asked for any better, especially with five regular players out."
Lewes have been hardest hit in the pack but their short lineouts were effective as they rattled up a big lead.
Matt Sole (2) and Lee Evans scored tries with Rumble adding a conversion and penalty before the visitors launched their fightback.
New Bognor captain Nigel Mitchell celebrated with a late try as his side won 32-7 at home to Brighton in London Three South East.
The hosts rattled up 25 points by the break as Billy Toon, Mark Gordon and George Castleton got over. Rob Parry kicked the rest of the points.
Chichester lost 15-10 at Charlton Park, with consolation coming from Michael Johnson's try and the work of locks Scott Smith and Craig Adfield in a much-changed side.
Promoted Hove opened up in London Four East with a 32-22 home win over Old Elthamians as Tom le Meutriere scored three tries. Rupert Pratt also got over, though new skipper Carl Pittaway had reservations about some of his side's defensive work.
Back row trio Thurston Yapp, Sam Gower and Jim Lawrence excelled for Eastbourne as they came from 10-5 down to beat Lordswood 29-10. Rob Light (2), James Bremer and Paul Newell scored tries with Nathan Ring adding three conversions and a penalty.
