Five times as many workers from ethnic minorities have been bullied at work as their white colleagues, according to a study.

Non-white workers are suffering a catalogue of bullying behaviour from managers as well as colleagues, the researchers claim.

The survey is the first in the world to focus on workplace bullying among ethnic minority employees.

It was carried out by Dr Duncan Lewis of the University of Glamorgan's Business School and Andrew Jones of the Valleys Race Equality Council, who quizzed 250 workers at public and private sector employers.

Some 25 per cent of ethnic minority workers said they had been bullied compared with five per cent of white employees.
