Burgess Hill midfielder Matt Geard will sign for premier division outfit Worthing tonight ahead of their game with Kingstonian at Woodside Road.
However, the Hillians, currently second in division one, are taking Worthing defender Ian Payne on a month's loan.
Rebels manager Alan Pook is delighted with Geard's imminent arrival. He said: "It is time for Matt to move up a level and I still feel he is capable of making it in the pro ranks with the right attitude and commitment."
The Rebels will be without striker Nko Ekoku as he suffered shoulder ligament damage in the weekend win over Northwood. Andy Alexander is set to fill in up front.
