I know Brighton has a rich tradition of welcoming many types of vehicles from vintage cars to coaches, from minis to motorcycles but I can only describe last weekend's gathering of the latter as an invasion.
The noise pollution was such that it was physically painful.
This meant for almost the entire weekend's daylight hours I had to keep my windows closed.
Traffic was disrupted, parking of said motorcycles was randomly selfish and in many cases blocked walkways which on any other day would have prompted a parking ticket jamboree for the wardens.
However, I saw no action taken. I also saw no policing of King's Road which by 3.45 pm had become the scene for an impromptu wheelie contest.
I know Brighton and its residents are renowned for their tolerance but surely some park and ride arrangement could be made in the future to prevent further misery.
