The arrival of Safeway (Morrisons) in the heart of Brighton and Hove will bring with it a 24/7 noise nuisance.
Currently, no planning restrictions govern delivery times of lorries or of the noise nuisance caused by loading/unloading.
In my experience - living opposite the Safeway store in Seaford - lorry movements start at 4.30am and continue to midnight but there are few deliveries during the working day.
The convenience of a city-centre store is one thing. Disturbed sleep and noise at unsocial hours is another.
