The farce that is becoming Shoreham airport which is losing £3.2 million per annum must be dealt with by the two authorities that own the site plus the council with the running brief.

Either it must be developed as a commercial regional airport or the land used for development. They cannot have it both ways.

If the authorities try the middle road and keep it as a small private airport with additional small developments it will fail and losses will mount, to the concern of all. With land on the coastal strip at a premium the site has huge potential for development.

Link it with the port and Shoreham will become a major player especially as the Government is looking for a new container port on the south coast.
