A school trying to save energy has been awarded an Environment Agency grant.
St Aubyns School in Rottingdean has been looking at ways to use its gas, water and electricity supplies more effectively.
Energy consultants McKinnon and Clarke helped the school by finding areas where it could save and by implementing its ideas. It has been reporting its findings to the Environment Agency every three months.
So far, improvements have been made to the school's water fittings, pool cover and water submeter.
The school also benefited from a refund of £1,000 after an overcharge was found.
