If the proposed foxhunting ban is genuinely about animal welfare and not class, can someone please explain to me why there is no vociferous campaign to ban coarse angling, where the fish is yanked from the water, paraded around gaping and gasping, photographed, weighed, shoved in a keep net for hours, then shoved back, bruised, battered and dazed, into the lake to probably suffer some more.

Why is this acceptable and yet foxhunting is not?
