Albion manager Mark McGhee today called on his players to rediscover their dead ball expertise.

McGhee was unhappy with the Seagulls' corners and free-kicks in last Saturday's home draw against Leicester.

He wants a better delivery into the Burnley box and a touch of inspiration at Turf Moor on Saturday to boost Albion's bid for Championship survival.

"We need a little break, a wonder goal or someone breaking clear to finish, or a corner or set piece," McGhee said. "There is no way we can squeeze any extra effort out of these boys. They are giving us everything. What we have got to try to do is find something else to make us that little bit better.

"As much as we gave 100 per cent on Saturday, we didn't beat Leicester. Why should it be any different away from home against a better team than Leicester? So we have got to find another edge. We had a lot of set pieces on Saturday and they are still not quite good enough.

"The delivery isn't good enough. When we did get in advanced areas the quality wasn't good and we can still do better at that. We've got to demand better quality out of the players, as well as the effort, if we are going to win the game."

The last goal Albion scored from a set piece was Dean Hammond's late header from a free-kick in last month's home defeat by Wigan.

Paul Watson, the provider on that occasion, is injured and Leon Knight is still banned, so McGhee will be looking to Richard Carpenter to offer a dead ball threat.
