Liberal Democrat leader Charles Kennedy is to visit Sussex to bolster support for his party in one of the UK's most marginal seats.
Mr Kennedy is expected to spend a large part of April 26 in Eastbourne to back the party's parliamentary hopeful Stephen Lloyd.
Mr Lloyd is hoping to oust Eastbourne's sitting Conservative MP Nigel Waterson in the May 5 General Election in what is expected to be a close fight.
Mr Waterson holds a slender majority of just over 2,000.
An Eastbourne Lib Dem spokesman said: "We only need a swing of two per cent to get the result we need."
