Combat Barbie has got a new fight on her hands.
Army beauty and current Miss England, Lance Corporal Katrina Hodge, has launched a battle to bring back an axed Brighton pageant.
The 23-year-old, of Coldean, Brighton, said she wants city girls to have the opportunity to represent Brighton that was denied to her.
She added: “I really wanted to be Miss Brighton but there wasn't one.
“The nearest one to me was for Miss East Sussex but I was outside the catchment area and so I had to qualify as Miss Tunbridge Wells where my parents are from.
“I would have loved to represent my hometown, I absolutely love Brighton.
“There's so much to do here and I can't see myself ever leaving Brighton.”
