So that was Christmas, I hope you had fun. Happy New Year all. I’m not sure how much weight I put on, but a diet of real ale and suet puddings probably hasn’t helped, though it has beaten out the coldest winter for at least 25 years.
Actually I like cold weather (in the winter, especially at Christmas) it does make it feel seasonal. So what with the family reunion, surprise presents, a full on snow blizzard (whilst in the pub, sadly not snowed in) no less than five goals at Wycombe and some very traditional food, it’s been a glorious Christmas for me.
I spent a very interesting evening at an Argus blog writers meeting, and they have some exciting plans for us bloggers, to help us communicate better and become more active in the community. Thus, as I return to Cambodia I’ll try and introduce you to more of the lovely characters I’ve spent the last three months with.
As usual I have more baggage than expected, this time returning with a set of five-a-side goal posts for the kids, courtesy of Brighton and Hove Albion FC Supporters Club and the Robert Eaton Memorial Fund.
Also packed are hair straighteners (no not for me, but for one of our young ladies on the project whose straighteners recently failed and who has an aversion to curly hair for some strange reason). I suppose calling her Curly doesn’t help but there you are.
