New year was a very quiet affair for us this year. Away from the in-laws and the lively New Year party it was just the three of us. It was quite emotional. We managed to get Isobel to sleep at 10.30pm and share a toast with glass of champagne and thanked 2009.
2009 has been a spectacular year for us, not only have we had a beautiful daughter we also got married earlier in the year. It has been a joyous year for us and I have to admit that I felt a bit tearful at its end. We have had so much luck this year and I really hope that we will have the same amount this year too.
I have to admit sometimes I have felt a bit lost with looking after my newborn. The first three weeks have been full of education. I have learnt so much and am growing into my role as a mummy. How do I create a routine? What kind of play does she like? Lots of new things to try.
This week I am trying to get us both comfortable with just ourselves as each others company while daddy is at work. I hope she enjoys her first mummy week!
