I would like to say a big thank you to all the people who stopped to help us when my 80-year-old mother had a nasty fall in George Street, Hove, on the Tuesday before Christmas.
Many thanks to the airline steward for using his first aid skills, the man who used his mobile to call and direct the ambulance to us, and the lady who stayed with us until the ambulance came.
We are also most grateful to the shoe shop assistant who offered us a chair and shelter, the policeman who assisted us and last, but not least, the ambulance crew who did a great job.
My mother is now safely home and well on the way to recovery.
We were amazed so many people came to our aid and it is comforting to know there are still so many good people out there.
