Matt Crabb gave Borough the lead after just six minutes when he played a one-two with Simon Johnson before nutmegging the goalkeeper.
Luton equalised just three minutes later when Craddock set up Barnes-Homer and they took the lead in the 19th minute when Knowles could only parry a shot from Craddock and Gallen was there to put in the rebound.
