A boy is bouncing back to health after having a second life-saving liver transplant.
Luke Bettelley is making a good recovery at home just weeks after his latest operation.
The 12-year-old made history a decade ago when he became the first Briton to receive a transplant from a living person.
The donor was the youngster's mum, Jill, 43, who gave part of her liver in a last-minute operation when her son developed acute liver failure.
Luke had progressed well after his first transplant but earlier this year his liver started to fail again.
He was so ill that doctors thought he would not make it to Christmas but as hope started to fade, the liver of a 41-year-old man became available.
Mrs Bettelley, of Cedar Close, Worthing, said she is now keeping a close eye on Luke.
