Sussex could see the return of sub-zero temperatures and snow this week.
Although the county will miss out on freezing temperatures tomorrow and Wednesday, forecasters say we could be in for a chilly and white New Year.
According to the Met Office, Brighton and the rest of the county should be ice free for the next two days but by Thursday we could be in for yet more sub-zero temperatures.
The Argus was inundated with calls and emails from our readers about icy roads and pavements. The weather also affected trains, buses and flights at Gatwick Airport while hospital services were stretched to the limit.
Brighton and Hove City Council has vowed to investigate how it dealt with the extreme weather.
