I suggest Geoffrey Theobald gets his facts right regarding bus routes being consistently gritted (Letters, December 22).

In Langley Crescent, Woodingdean, we had no bus service for four days and no gritting had taken place. Wednesday was the first we saw of gritters.

It’s about time the council got their act together. We all pay enough taxes and expect a better service.

Why are there no snow ploughs in operation in and around Brighton? If snow ploughs were used a gritting lorry could follow behind. In this day and age it is ridiculous that a little snow can grind us to a halt.
