During the recent snowfall the Royal Sussex County Hospital A&E was particularly busy.

I had fallen over in all the ice and taken a trip to the A&E to check out my arm. There were so many people walking around with poorly arms and legs, it was like a conveyer belt. But hats off to the staff in A&E – they not only coped very well but they did it with perfection.

We were all seen quickly, and each and every member of staff, who were all rushed off their feet, from the receptionist to the plasterer, were happy, polite and smiling. Unlike the council, they certainly did their job.
