The St. James's Area LAT (Local Action Team) starts off the new year with their first meeting on Wednesday January 6 at 7pm, Dorset Gardens Methodist Church.
All residents and traders in the area are encouraged to attend this meeting when Inspector David Derrick (the new lead on Neighbourhood policing in the Central area) will be attending. Joining him will be senior Police officers from the Force's licensing team in addition to St. James's community officers, in order to listen to locals' concerns on street drinking and night time anti-social behaviour.
Following open discussion with residents, it is anticipated that a number of new initiatives will be unveiled by Insp Derrick and his team at this meeting in order to tackle key policing priorites for the area.
