With all the snow and stubborn ice I think people could have cleared the ice from their steps and doorways.

It must be a very slow and tortuous job being a postie in this weather.

Also I don’t know how old people got about. Young people find it hard enough and, if the old ones were to break a leg or something, the shock may kill them.

So, if we can, I think we should clear up what we can, lest many more spend their Christmas in hospital.
