The past few weeks have been an emotional rollercoaster. One moment I’m filled with festive feeling, the next it’s being slowly washed away over the two hours it takes me to drive the two miles home from Gerrards Cross. I can’t be the only one in need of a break.
Fortunately that’s exactly what I’m getting this Christmas as I’m off to Italy on a snowboarding holiday (not with BA thankfully). Ah, there comes the festive feeling again.
Wherever you’re spending Christmas this year, as the big day draws closer I think it’s imperative you’ve got some good pyjamas to see you through from present-o-clock to bedtime.
For me, rolling out of bed on Christmas morning, at a ridiculous hour might I add (my 22-year-old sister still has the heart and patience of a 12-year-old), and staying in my pyjamas all day is what Christmas is all about.
I’ll happily bare my pyjamas to the world without any shame, but they’ve got to be warm. These new PJs from Primark fulfill all my objectives: warm, snug, stylish and only £4. Team them with a pair of Uggs, a warm jacket and a seasonal snood and you’ve got an all-weather Christmas cracker.
Christmas seems to have come early as far as the weather’s concerned so, having spent all day in my pyjamas, even walking down to the ice rink that is my village in them, I didn’t see any reason to change to make a snowman... Fingers crossed he lasts until Christmas!
Emma: “Christmas Day to me is all about hedonistic decadence. Having saved my pennies and starved myself for some weeks to make way for the unwrapping and eating marathon that is Christmas chez Laurence, moderation will be strictly off the agenda. I love an excuse to dress up at the best of times, and Christmas is no exception. Post my morning glass of OJ (topped up with champagne, of course), I’ll do my best to cover myself in enough sparkles, sequins and shimmer to rival even the pluckiest Christmas tree. But why limit yourself to one costume change this Christmas? It’d be impossible to get out of bed on the wrong side in this red silky babydoll. At only £5 from Primark it’s just the right side of fun, and beautifully cut to flatter your Christmas curves and keep the frump firmly at bay from beneath the fluffiest of dressing gowns.”
Ellie: “I really wanted to find the perfect pair of PJs to wear this Christmas but instead I'm hoping I'll receive some come Christmas morning. I want to be as comfy as I am sparkly on Christmas day so I'm opting for leggings teamed with my mum’s old leg warmers and a spangly Primark top (£5 —bargain). I’ll no doubt be wearing my Uggs as I’m living in them these days and can't bear to take them off when I get indoors. I'll also be keeping a variety of warm jumpers and cardigans at hand in case I decide to brave the snow piling itself up at my front door.”
Merry Christmas SEE readers, we hope you all have a lovely day and Santa brings you everything you wish for…
