A miracle baby who weighed little more than a bag of sugar at birth has been allowed home from hospital just in time for Christmas.
Jack Woolmer-Robertson was born 17 weeks early and was not expected to survive his first few hours.
But the youngster defied the doctors to go from strength to strength.
Proud parents Toni Robertson and Marcus Woolmer are now looking forward to a quiet festive family celebration.
Opening Jack's presents on Christmas morning is something the family never thought they were going to see.
However the moment will be a bitter-sweet experience as they remember Jack's twin sister Georgia, who died in her mother's arms shortly after she was born.
The twins were born at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton in July, just 23 weeks and four days into Ms Robertson’s pregnancy.
Over the next five months Ms Robertson only went back home to Harrison's Lane, Ringmer, near Lewes, once.
Jack, who was born weighing 1lb 4oz, gradually started to thrive and was allowed home earlier this month.
