I would like to thank our paper boy Sam for his efforts in the snow.
I could not believe it on Friday morning when my copy of The Argus popped through the letterbox. What a trouper – he battled the snow and managed to complete his paper round.
We live on a hill and he has not let us down on any day.
It is quite amazing that a young boy can get here to deliver a paper irrelevant of snow, ice, hail and freezing conditions but we were otherwise totally cut off from the rest of Brighton.
There was no refuse collection and, worst of all, no bus service.
There are a number of elderly people in this area and they were totally stranded.
I think in this day and age it is a total disgrace that the outskirts of our so-called city are just left to get on with it. At least I received The Argus and am very grateful to Sam.
