Thursday saw round two of my Christmas parties. Unfortunately it also brought lots of snow and I have learnt that heels and snow do not go. So as I am writing with a broken wrist I will keep this post short and sweet.
This time it was our team Christmas party. We choose to go to Northern Lights for their £15 Scandinavian festive menu which was great – full of ham, fish and funny casseroles. We ate so much we even skipped desert we were so full. I would recommend their mulled wine, it's the best I have had in ages. I also found out they tell ghost stories on Tuesday nights. I definitely want to try that one day.
Next we skipped across to Lucky Voice, a place where you hire a private room for karaoke. I am not a huge fan of karaoke but thought I would go and I loved it from the very first song. If you have a big group of you, it is quite reasonable and drinks prices are cheap too (you press a button for the waitress to come – I wish all bars were like that). But in leaving – Brighton was fully covered in snow and there were no taxis which meant a very slippery end to the night – now I am staying like a hermit until it all unfreezes!
