After another year of memorable shindigs – including the award- winning Blind Tiger Club – Playgroup celebrates Christmas in the only way they know how, with raucous live bands, face- painting, dressing-up and all the other trimmings.

Getting the party started at this festive special will be the over-the-top and energetic Mean Poppa Lean (pictured) with their funk and r ’n’ b beats, hard- gigging ska punkers Los Albertos, rock and dance band The Resonators, Bunty and Wide Eyed Order, with their brand of funk punk blues.

As an extra gesture of Christmas goodwill, Playgroup has scrapped the door charge so even the most Scrooge-like character can get in, get down and have a good time.
