Could our MP Celia Barlow, as a member of the Government’s Treasury Team, tell us: does the Government’s decision to increase taxes on everyone earning more than £20,000 a year (well below the average wage) represent Labour abandoning middle England and lurching Left?

And what are her views on the misleading presentation of a permanent increase in benefits for the most vulnerable, including child support and Disability Living Allowance, when the reality is a temporary increase for the period of the election, followed by a real-term cut after the election?
