Plans to build a five-star seafront hotel have been relaunched after three years of uncertainty.
Investors have revealed they are looking to build on the site in Hove where the Sackville Hotel used to stand.
The proposals, which will include a hotel, a restaurant and residents parking, have been brought forward by local businessmen Robert Webb and Michael Deol.
The pair, who bought the former hotel for £1.5 million in 2006, had plans to restore it to its 1950s heyday.
But they were waylaid when the roof of the building, in Kingsway, collapsed shortly after.
A planning application is now expected to be submitted to Brighton and Hove City Council early in 2010.
The site has remained empty since the roof of the 45-room hotel collapsed in April 2006.
