From baroque to Balkan, folk to funk, Emo to Elbow – there’s music to delight most tastes at this celebration of tomorrow’s winter solstice.
The event is presented by Hullaballoo Community Quire – spelt that way to distinguish it from traditional notions of choirs, the group prides itself on its unconventional repertoire. With arrangements of songs by Bowie, Bush and even the Kaiser Chiefs under their belts, expect an eclectic selection here.
Other guests include theatrical gypsy ska/latin fusion band Manjinga, Alexia Chellen’s spicy blend of sounds from Cyprus, Mauritius and the UK and Martina Schwarz’s gypsy Balkan beats.
*Starts 2.30pm and 7.30pm, tickets £8/£6.
