My parents were enjoying a day trip to Brighton on December 8 when my mother fell and dislocated her shoulder and tore ligaments in her knee.
They are both in their 70s and were obviously distressed. A kind lady on her lunch hour took control, rang paramedics and stayed with my parents until they were safely in an ambulance. A man also covered my mother with his coat and stayed with them.
My parents said so many people stopped and offered help, even youngsters who usually get poor press for being inconsiderate. I am so grateful and want those helpers to know what a difference they made. Thank you people of Brighton for restoring faith in human kindness. May you all have a very happy Christmas.
