Teenager Lauren Jones has made an emotional return to school six months after the accident which left her paralysed.
Lauren, 14, was welcomed by her friends as she re-started classes at Durrington High School, off The Boulevard, Worthing.
The school and its headteacher, Sue Marooney, were praised for the way they handled Lauren's comeback.
Talented footballer Lauren was left paralysed from the waist down when she fell from a tree in June.
She was last week given a three hour tour of the school to make sure she was able to get around the corridors, and through doors, in a wheelchair.
So far wellwishers have raised more than £31,000 for Lauren in an Argus-backed appeal.
