Your story on the traffic lights in New England Road in Brighton neglects to mention one of the most important points – the “straight on” lights are always green, and hence totally pointless.
Still, never fear, our glorious council, always mindful of the fact that cars are nasty and their drivers evil and the cause of whatever wrong-doing you care to choose, has assured us that these lights are “safe and clear”.
