IN years past, when I was on beach lifeguard duty at Rottingdean and Saltdean, my motto was “Prevention”.
With that in mind, should not those parents who allow their children to defy a Keep Off The Rocks sign by playing on slippery uneven groynes at be charged with negligence, or does it alas take a serious or fatal accident of one of their infants to make those parents realise how crass they were?
