To mark national ‘Carers Rights Day’ in December, The Carers Centre for Brighton & Hove, in collaboration with Brighton & Hove City Council and NHS Brighton & Hove, is organising a Carers’ Question Time, to be chaired by Carers UK, Chief Executive, Imelda Redmond.
The event will bring together a panel of senior health and social care managers from the city and gives carers and ex-carers the chance to ask the questions – and get answers - about how local services are provided for them. Panel members will also respond to some of the key issues emerging from this year’s citywide Carers Survey – the largest survey of carers’ opinions carried out in Brighton and Hove for over ten years.
The day will also be the first opportunity to view the ‘Carers Film’, recently commissioned by Brighton & Hove City Council and NHS Brighton & Hove to highlight the day-to-day lives of carers and to raise awareness of the pressures that they face.
The venue for the Question Time will be the Jury’s Inn hotel, next to Brighton station, with the event running between 11am and 2pm on Tuesday 1st December.
